The wait is almost over! As part of today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo has announced that Super Smash Bros. will make its Switch debut sometime this year. The first teaser trailer confirms that the Inklings will join the fight, and that Mario and Link (wearing his Breath of the Wild gear) will be involved in some capacity.
What this trailer (or Nintendo’s accompanying press release) didn’t confirm was whether Super Smash Bros. for the Switch will be a brand new game (Super Smash Bros. 5?) or an enhanced re-release of Super Smash Bros. For Wii U. I guess we’ll all find out together, probably as we get closer to the 2018 E3 Expo.
