Trailblazers, Conan Exiles, Raging Justice, more added to Xbox Store
Welcome to the mid-week Xbox Games Store update. Here’s what Microsoft has added to their digital storefront today…
Supergonk mashed together elements from two of Nintendo’s most beloved franchises in Trailblazers, and the Xbox One game is a team-based futuristic racing game where players paint the track to create burst lanes. A slightly less fun future can be found in Subaeria, a puzzle-platformer for the Xbox One where players must pit hordes of murderous robots against each other.
If you’d rather give in to your berserker rage, Funcom’s Conan Exiles graduated from the Game Preview program today, and MakinGames’s Raging Justice tasks players with cleaning up the streets in classic beat ’em up style.
Finally today, WayForard is packaging together Shantae: Half-Genie Hero and both of its expansions into a new Ultimate Edition.

Tacoma, Trailblazers, Laser League, more coming to PS Store this week
It looks like a big batch of new PS4 games will be added to the PlayStation Store this week…
Leading the way is Fullbright’s Tacoma, an adventure game that tasks players with discovering what happened to the six crewmembers aboard a doomed space station. However, sunnier options are also available.
Supergonk’s Trailblazers mixes the futuristic racing of F-Zero with Splatoon’s competitive painting. Roll7’s Laser League borrows the neon-heavy aesthetic of Tron for a team-based future sport. MakinGames rolled the clock back to the punk stylings of Streets of Rage to inform their side-scrolling beat ’em up, Raging Justice. And Idea Factory’s Megadimension Neptunia VIIR gives the latest entry in the popular RPG franchise a VR-infused makeover.
Also set to launch this week is the post-apocalyptic Death Road to Canada, the survival-adventure of Conan Exiles, and puzzle-platformer Subaeria. WayForward will also release Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition, a bundle that includes the original game and both expansions.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Raging Justice, more coming to Nintendo eShop this week
Switch owners with retro sensibilities will enjoy this week’s Nintendo eShop update…
A re-release of Retro’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze leads the way, but the side-scroller has some funky new tricks up its sleeve for its Switch debut. The aptly named Funky Mode will let players take control of Funky Kong as part of “a more approachable experience for players of all ages and skill levels.” Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be available to download beginning tomorrow, May 4.
Also available this week is Raging Justice, a side-scrolling brawler from Team17 and MakinGames. The game was inspired by Streets of Rage and Double Dragon, and Switch owners will be able to battle it out with street thugs or arrest them if they’d prefer to be a “Good Cop.” Raging Justice will be available to download on Tuesday, May 8.
WayForward’s Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition will also be added to the Nintendo eShop on May 8, and Switch owners will get the original game, as well as both expansions (Friends to the End and Pirate Queen’s Quest).
You can learn more about the rest of this week’s additions to the Nintendo eShop (including Nihilumbra, Professional Construction: The Simulation, Cast of the Seven Godsends, and more) after the break. (more…)
Team17 will bring side-scrolling beat ’em up Raging Justice to PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One
Team17 has announced they’re teaming up with MakinGames to publish Raging Justice, a side-scrolling brawler that was inspired by Streets of Rage, Final Fight, and Double Dragon.
Because Raging Justice is a beat ’em up with a very retro style, players will get the chance to play as the ridiculously-named Rick Justice and Nikki Rage, two cops out to clean up the streets:
Raging Justice Features
- Arrest Warrants – Certain perps in Raging Justice need to be taken in rather than taken down! Slap the cuffs on them using the game’s unique Arrest mechanic and you’ll be rewarded with extra health! Beat them up instead and you’ll be labelled with the shame of “Bad Cop!”
- Nostalgic Art Style – Raging Justice has a distinctive art style reminiscent of classic coin-op favourites of the Nineties, brought to life with high definition 3D renders.
- Vehicles – Mow down your foes on four wheels by jumping aboard lawnmowers and tractors. Vehicles will make you untouchable but if their health hits zero be prepared for an explosive exit!
- Weapons – Gear up with a variety of weapons. Smash your way through a bar fight with a stool, hit a home run with a baseball bat or ruffle your foes’ feathers with a deadly pigeon!
- Leaderboards – Fight for the top spot on the global leaderboards. As the tension rises so can your score, use precision, timing and a tactical mind to secure your place among the best!
- Co-Op Multiplayer – Don’t battle through the streets alone, enlist a friend to help you in some multiplayer madness.
Raging Justice will be available to download for the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One later this year. In the meantime, a new trailer has been embedded above.
