November was spent playing some older games, ranging from Resident Evil 2 to Zombie Driver HD. And some of us – no names mentioned – are still playing Borderlands 2. Read on to find out more of what we did in November!

It feels like I did more writing about games than actually playing games in November. But I still managed to put a few more hours into Doom 3: BFG Edition and Zombie Driver HD. What can I say? The undead (be they space scientists or suburban fatties) should fear my wrath!

November was an awesome month of gaming for me. Every single moment near my PlayStation 3 was spent playing Borderlands 2 with my boyfriend. We beat the game and then started it over again in Vault Hunter Mode, where we are getting our butts kicked. So far, the DLC is awesome! The only time I wasn’t playing Borderlands 2 is when I was playing the Sleeping Dogs DLC, “Nightmare in North Point.” That didn’t take very long, though, and I was back in Salvador’s shoes, Gunzerking everything in sight! Other than that, I just played a ton of Pokemon Black 2, which is like addictive Pokemon drugs, as usual. I’ll have a review up as soon as I can put down my DS!

The start of the month was spent shooting my way through the final levels of Borderlands 2, a game which felt rewarding even after thirty-odd hours. I’ve started again playing as the Technomancer, but I think it will be a slow affair.
After that I picked up Darksiders II for £12; I had been wanting to wait for the Wii U version, but can’t beat a bargain. It’s slightly frustrating; it is missing something the original had, but I can’t quite place my finger on it. Perhaps the non-Earth setting, or the rather slow inventory screens (Wii U Gamepad is much needed), or the ridiculously hard boss fights. It’s going to be a struggle to finish I fear, especially as I just picked up Sleeping Dogs for £14 this week!

I spent a lot of time working on Resident Evil 2, the only one in the series that I never played through on my own. I’m happy at how well it’s held up over the past thirteen years (wow, that’s old). In addition, I’ve been playing a lot of The Pinball Arcade, and purchased some of the DLC tables. Finally, the majority of my month was spent playing Minecraft with my son. It’s like playing with Legos without the cleanup!
