We here at Warp Zoned are a very eclectic bunch! As a result, our May list of games we’ve been playing is all over the map. There’s some mobile gaming, some diving into backlogs, and one of us even had some virtual reality time. Read on to see what we played this month, and feel free to let us know what you were playing by leaving a comment!

My May looked quite a bit like my April. A lot of Motocross Madness, which is a pretty great $10 motorbike racer, and and a lot of Injustice: Gods Among Us, which is a good one-on-one fighter that doesn’t quite measure up to NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat reboot.
I also put in a little time with Doritos Crash Course 2 and while the “free-to-play” features are a bit irritating (especially since Doritos Crash Course was just free, period), it’s an entertaining sequel for fans of the first one.

This has been a great month for gaming! I’ve been playing lots of Monaco on the PC, Steve Jackson’s Sorcery on the iPad, and, of course, Borderlands 2 on the PlayStation 3! Anthony Amato and I are playing double Psychos named Bebop and Rocksteady, and we’re having an absolute blast. I love that game so much!
Other than that, I’ve been playing lots of games in development, like Quadratron’s Arecibo and Cipher Prime’s Intake, as well as plenty of Matt Thorson’s TowerFall. Oh, and I finally got to try an Oculus Rift – it’s incredible! I also got my friend Greg Labonov’s game on the iPad, called Perfection, and I started Starship Damrey on the 3DS. Quite a wonderful month for gaming, indeed!

May was a pretty poor month for me, I’m afraid. I had a tremendous pile of work which kept interfering with the important things in life, like gaming. I have been lazily making progress in the Wii U version of Assassin’s Creed III, and challenged my girlfriend to a few races in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which is both manically addictive and extremely hard.
I need to take a two week vacation with my consoles.

I spent May playing BattleBlock Theater, which, if you have an Xbox 360 and not this game, then you are a terrible person. And, if you do have it, you need to immediately go online and find someone to play co-op with. I’ll wait. You good? OK. I also started playing Fire Emblem: Awakening. It’s my first game in the series, and I am really enjoying it thus far. I only completed about two or three chapters so I’m still not too far into it, but what I’ve played is great.
May also saw some great fighting game tournaments in East Coast Throwdown and Underground Fighting Game Tournament, and after watching some matches on Twitch, I felt compelled to play some Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and King of Fighters XIII. After watching these pros play, I very quickly realized that I wouldn’t last ten seconds in any of those matches.
