While Sony may see the PS3 as the sputtering jalopy parked next to the shiny, new sports car that is the PS4; there’s also a crusty, old mechanic standing next to the console, ready to give it a slap and a, “There’s still some life in the old girl.” this folksy tableau is a way of saying that Sony announced a brand new Ratchet & Clank game for the yesterday, and that it’ll be available for the PS3 by the end of the year.
Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is in development at Insomniac and is considered a “return to form” for the series. After the family adventure of All 4 One and the competitive aspects of Full Frontal Assault, Insomiac wanted to return to the more “traditional” gameplay of Ratchet’s “personal story arc.”
You can watch the first trailer above, which gives you a look at some of the crazy new weapons Ratchet will have at his disposal (because, of course he will) as well as the game’s signature gameplay hook: zero gravity.
