While the Professor Layton series will continue in some form, tomorrow’s addition of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy to the 3DS eShop marks the end of the good Professor’s tenure as the face of the franchise. Also available on the 3DS eShop this week is Tappingo, a puzzle game of a different sort. Taking a bit of inspiration from Minesweeper, Tappingo is can be downloaded today.
Over on the Wii U eShop, Wii U owners will have a chance to download My Farm, a cartoony farm simulator.
Finally, the NES game Renegade is now available on both the 3DS eShop and the Wii U eShop. Renegade is the first game in the long-running “Kunio” series (which is better known in America as the River City Ransom series).

Tappingo – Tappingo is an awesome new puzzle game, in which you create small pictures by solving puzzles. Your goal is to solve each puzzle picture by making all the numbered blocks extend into lines of the correct length. The number on each block indicates exactly how long the line needs to be.
Renegade – Battle your way through subways, parks, alleyways and parking lots in this NES brawler. Use your arsenal of kicks, punches (including the infamous sit-on punch) and jump kicks, as well as a variety of throws to knock your opponents into submission. Take the law into your own hands!

My Farm – At the beginning, all you own is an empty field, a few pennies and a single little hen… You need to feed the hen and take care of it! Then your hen will lay eggs which can then be sold. And with this money, you can buy new animals at the Farmers’ Market and purchase equipment from the Shopkeeper…
