Sony previously announced that the PS3 and Vita versions of MLB 14: The Show would step into the batter’s box on April 1. Now, the publisher has confirmed (via Facebook) that the PS4 edition of the game will be released on May 6.
MLB 14: The Show will feature several improvements over the PS3 and Vita versions of the game including full use of the PS4’s “Share Button.” The next-generation baseball sim will also feature a “graphical leap” over the PS3 version thanks to the PS4’s increased horsepower and an enhanced “beard rendering engine” to ensure that everyone’s facial hair is up to snuff.
Personally, I’d love to see a player like Brian Wilson do something absolutely insane with his beard just to test Sony’s new system.
