Other than Xenoblade Chronicles X, there’s not a lot we’re hyped up for this month at Warp Zoned. That’s is probably a good thing, since most of us have picked up quite a few new games during this year’s Black Friday sales. And we also need to hit up that backlog as well! Read on to see what else we’re talking about playing in this cold month of December.

An Earth Defense Force two-fer has me excited this month as Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space will be released on the Vita and Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair will make its way to the PS4. I’m not an outsdoorsy type, so giant bugs normally freak me out, but I make an exception for the Earth Defense Force games.

Back when Xenoblade Chronicles X was first announced, I convinced myself that I’d have time to play the other games in the series. I really believed it, too. It was a horrible lie! I own Xenoblade Chronicles, but haven’t even cracked it open. So, I’m sorry, but I’m not going to be able to play that game just yet. I’ll be in the vast wastelands of Fallout 4 this month instead… that is, when I’m not studying for exams in Persona 4 Golden.

Christmas is almost here, and at the top of my list is Xenoblade Chronicles X. I adored exploring the worlds of the last one, and from the stellar reviews, I can see myself becoming fully immersed in the word of Mira. Despite a few heavy hitters like Just Cause 3 and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege dropping, the JRPG is the only title I’ll be picking up in December, as it’s one of the reasons I bought a Wii U.

Steamworld Heist is the only game I can really see myself playing this month. Other than that, I see nothing else that piques my interest. And you know what that means – time to hit that backlog!
