January is typically a slow month for new game releases, but this January might be slower than ever. But a huge number of highly-acclaimed indie games will be making their way to the PS4 and Xbox One this month, so that’s something to look forward to. Read on to find out what other games will be available this month…

I’m not much of a PC player, so I feel like I’ll finally get to see what all the fuss is about this month if I check out some of indie gaming’s biggest hits as they make their console debut. Specifically, I’m looking to dive into the tactical warfare of The Banner Saga, the strong emotions of Gone Home, and the war-torn This War of Mine: The Little Ones. I’m also planning on picking up Life Is Strange this month now that the entire episodic game has been put together in a collected edition.
But after all that bleakness, it’s probably a good idea to unwind with something amusing, and Lego Avengers looks like it’ll fit the bill.

In January, I would love to finally play The Banner Saga, Gone Home, and Life Is Strange, which are all coming to PlayStation 4! Maybe I’ll put down Fallout 4 for long enough to play those games. And, of course, I’m interested in Final Fantasy Explorers, because it looks amazing, and I’ll give just about any Final Fantasy a chance.

January is usually a poor month for gamers, cash-strapped after Christmas, but there are a few releases I’d love to pick up. I have yet to enter the world of The Banner Saga, so its release on PS4 may spurn me to try it. Between that and The Witness, which looks like it can bring the magic and mystery of Myst to this current generation of gamers.

Eh, January is pretty much a no-go for me as well. My inner comic book fan tells me to get Lego Avengers, but I think I can wait and delve into my backlog.
