Four new games are now available to download for the Nintendo Switch… and three of them will offer players plenty of explosions.
Lego City Undercover is an open-world action game that takes the gritty “cops and robbers” genre and gives it a family-friendly makeover. Players will take control of Chase McCain, an undercover officer who has been ordered to take down notorious criminal Rex Fury. But they’ll also be able to keep themselves busy with “more than 20 unique districts to investigate, car thieves to bust, hilarious movie references to discover, vehicles to drive, and hundreds of collectibles.” Oh, and an explosion or two.
As you’d expect, Graceful Explosion Machine is also packed with fiery detonations. In this side-scrolling shooter, Switch owners will pilot the Graceful Explosion Machine, using its quartet of weapons to blast a bunch of aliens. If you prefer your shooters to scroll vertically, Alpha Mission II, which was originally released for the NeoGeo in 1991, is also available to download today.
Finally this week, Switch owners will be able to download Vroom in the Night Sky, which doesn’t appear to include explosions of any kind. Instead, players will fly through the night collecting Stardusts to unlock the Magical Gate.

Graceful Explosion Machine – Skillfully pilot the Graceful Explosion Machine, a fighter ship armed with a ludicrously overpowered quad-weapon array. Lost in deep space, you’ll shoot, dash and combo your way through jewel-hued alien worlds, fighting crystalline enemies to find a way home.
Vroom in the Night Sky – Vroom in the Night Sky is a Magical Bike Action Game. The features of this game are Fantastic feeling, Speedy feeling, and Realistic feeling using HD Rumble. There are various night skies in this world, and it is the work of the Magical Girls to collect Stardusts. You become a Magical Girl, Luna, and ride a Magical Bike to fly around the night sky and collect Stardusts!
Alpha Mission II – Alpha Mission II is a shooting game released by SNK in 1991. Utilize 11 types of Power Armor and recapture the universe from the Seven Star Alliance! The game is a fan favorite in the genre, and features unique gameplay allowing players to collect and upgrade armor power-ups and switch them out on the fly. This second entry in the series adds a wealth of new flashy armor power-ups, expanding on the tactical and exciting gameplay the series is known for.

Dragon Sinker: Descendants of Legend – Join forces with elves and dwarves, and slay the evil dragon, Wyrmvarg in a retro-style fantasy RPG! Wii U Games
World Sports Competition – In this TurboGrafx-16 sports game, compete in six categories of events that include shooting, archery, rowing, swimming, and track & field. The game features Olympics mode, where you play all the events over the course of a few days, and Training mode, where you can choose individual events to play. After practicing in Training mode, go for the gold in Olympics mode and break world records.
Super Star Soldier – Super Star Soldier is a classic, vertically scrolling shooting game for TurboGrafx-16. The Special Attack Squad, led by the Mother Brain, has launched an all-out invasion of Earth.
