Xbox Store Today: Runbow, What Remains of Edith Finch, Moon Hunters

A trio of new Xbox One games are now available to download today, and one of them in a freebie if you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber…

July’s mid-month addition to the Games With Gold catalog is Runbow, a multiplayer platform racer from 13AM Games. Originally released for the Wii U (and then later the PC and 3DS), Runbow offers eight-player local multiplayer (and nine players online) and a ridiculous single-player challenge known as “The Bowhemoth.”

Also available to download today is What Remains of Edith Finch, a mystery game that promises to offer “a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state.”

Finally today, Moon Hunters will make its Xbox One debut and it lets players experience multiple playthroughs of the same story to “see it from different angles and uncover new sides to characters, conflicts, and narratives.”

You can learn more about all of these game after the break.

Xbox One Games

Runbow
Get Ready to Runbow! Runbow is a fast-paced action party game for up to eight players locally and nine players online. Platforms and obstacles appear and disappear with each swipe of the background color, so if you can’t see something, IT DOESN’T EXIST! Players can go head-to-head in Run, Arena, and King of The Hill, or hone their skills on their own in Adventure or The Bowhemoth.

What Remains of Edith Finch
What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state. As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she’s the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day. The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member’s death.

Moon Hunters
Explore a one to four player co-operative personality test set in a rich, ancient world that’s different every time you play. You have five days before King Mardokh and the Sun Cultists declare war on Issaria’s tribes. Multiple playthroughs of this short story will let you see it from different angles and uncover new sides to characters, conflicts, and narratives. Try out all four player hometowns and six player character classes, each with their own abilities and randomly generated upgrades as you build your mythology.
