We don’t know what Nintendo has planned for tonight’s Nintendo Direct presentation, but it looks like 18 new games will be available to download from the Switch eShop over the next few days.
Leading the way (because the hero carries a grappling hook) is Flinthook, a roguelike side-scrolling platformer from Tribute Games. Available to download tomorrow, players will get to take control of the famed space pirate, Captain Flinthook, and board ships to steal booty.
But set to launch for the Switch today is Earthlock: Festival of Magic, a turn-based RPG from Snowcastle Games that was inspired by the first wave of 3D RPGs from the late 90s. Also available to download today is Bleed 2, a manic side-scrolling shooter from Bootdisk Revolution.

Using the previous system as a base, isolating the Sweep Button, the inclusion of Combination Attacks, and other elements such as ring outs make for an even speedier and tempo-based play style. Sixteen fighters battle it out to see who is the strongest.
A Hole New World – The city is being invaded by monsters from the Upside Down World! You, the Potion Master, must defeat evil all alone, with no tutorials or “Easy Mode” to assist you. You’ll have to rely on the help of Fäy, your companion fairy, and your potions! Jump and shoot like they did in the good ol’ arcade days. Fight enemies in your world and in the Upside Down World! Defeat gigantic bosses and acquire their powers!
Bit Dungeon Plus – You wake up what seems like hours, maybe even days later trapped in a prison cell, and your friend is missing. You find a sword in your cell and vow revenge against the beasts who took your friend… the quest to find your friend one and destroy the demons begins!
Bleed 2 – A furiously fun and fast-paced arcade action game, Bleed 2 welcomes back pink-haired heroine Wryn, the world’s greatest – and only remaining – hero, as she fights to defend the globe from an invading force of villains. Master the art of air-dodging and bullet-reflecting to stylishly take down a relentless barrage of bad guys and bosses (and naughty kittys!), and make sure Wryn lives up to her title as the Greatest Hero of All Time!
Coffin Dodgers – Pimp up your mobility scooter and take on the Grim Reaper and his Zombie army in a race for your soul. I, Zombie – Command your zombie horde and infect the whole world! Fool the military and ensure no one stays safe – it’s the Zombiepocalypse, with built-in level editor!
Midnight Deluxe – In this golf-like game with a perpetual darkness setting, your task is to guide a little square-shaped fairy, named Midnight. Use your controller or touch-screen controls, to launch Midnight into the night sky, but watch out! The world of Midnight is a dangerous one thanks to the likes of spikes, circular saws and plenty of other dangerous objects and even if you do manage to get Midnight into the safe zone, to advance to the next level, there’s the added challenge of trying to complete each level in the least amount of shots as possible to get all three Stars.
One Eyed Kutkh – One Eyed Kutkh is an exciting space adventure based on the fairy tales of the Far North. A single traveler on his way home crashes on a mysterious planet. To continue his journey, he’ll have to get to the ninth heaven, deceive the Sun and the Moon and steal their space-boats. – Available March 9
Spiral Splatter – Spiral Splatter is a brain-bending arcade puzzle game that will push your hand-eye coordination to the limit with nonstop, mind-boggling puzzles! Put your problem-solving skills to the test as you navigate over 100 levels and 11 different stages full of perplexing puzzles. Watch out for moving obstacles as you maneuver through each level.
