Even though they’ve got a big E3 Press Conference coming up tomorrow, Square Enix went ahead and announced late last night that Kingdom Hearts III will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019:

While it’s great news that we finally know exactly when Kingdom Hearts III will launch, it does mean that the game will miss Square Enix’s promised “2018” release date (which they’ve mentioned many, many, many times in the past). In a followup tweet, Director Tetsuya Nomura apologized for the delay: “I’m sorry that we’re asking for a little more time than initially planned.”
Nomura also said that Square Enix plans to unveil multiple new trailers for Kingdom Hearts III over the next week. So be on the lookout for those.
