Capcom has announced (via Twitter) that the original Devil May Cry will be hacking and slashing its way to the Nintendo Switch this Summer:

The first game to chronicle Dante’s demonhunting ways was first released for the PS2 in 2001. The game was eventually remastered (as part of the Devil May Cry HD Collection) for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, and again for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2018. Presumably, Capcom has plans in place to bring the remaining games in the series to the Switch if Devil May Cry proves popular.
But that’s all things to worry about in the future. For now, all we can do is sit back and wait for Capcom to announce more details (and hopefully a trailer) about Devil May Cry’s upcoming Switch debut in the coming weeks.
UPDATE (5/7/19): Capcom has launched the official website for Devil May Cry on the Switch, and they’ve confirmed the game will not receive a physical release and that it’ll be exclusive to the Nintendo eShop. A few screenshots are also available for your perusal.
