Techland’s Project Hell announced as Hellraid
Dead Island developer Techland has revealed that the game formally announced as “Project Hell” will officially be titled Hellraid. The game will be unleashed on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 later this year.
Techland has described Hell Raid as a “first-person co-op slasher” that will have single-player campaign, as well as co-op multiplayer where you and your friends battle against the denizens of Hell – as well as each other – for points and loot.
The armies of Hell brought pain and destruction to the realm of man, and only a select few have the fighting skills necessary to confront the devilish monstrosities. Combining elements of hack & slash RPGs, first-person shooters and online multiplayer games, Hellraid features an advanced, immersive combat system with melee, ranged and magical weapons. The engaging Game Master system makes each game a different experience, placing loot and enemies while generating random online challenges.
More information on Hellraid, including the first screenshots, can be found at Hellraid.com.

The first The Evil Within screenshots and details are within
Last week, Bethesda announced that the legendary Shinji Mikami is working on the upcoming survival horror title The Evil Within. Yesterday more details about the game plus some frightful screenshots of the title has been revealed.
In The Evil Within you play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos, he comes across unnatural forces around an asylum and, after being knocked unconscious, Sebastian wakes up in a world where monsters really do exist.
Speaking to IGN earlier this week, Mikami-San spoke of his desire to bring back the survival horror genre saying, “[T]he thing that I want to focus on [with The Evil Within] is having the perfect balance between horror and action.” He also spoke about how having limited ammo brings excitement to the game and he mentioned the game will lack heavy weapons like assault rifles to blast through your foes.
The Evil Within releases in 2014 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and “next-generation consoles.” You can check out the first screenshots after the break. (more…)

Splinter Cell: Blacklist’s Wii U features are declassified in this new trailer
The latest trailer for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist showcases some of the in-game abilities that have been made easier to execute using the Wii U GamePad.
Marking targets and drone piloting are just two things that you can expect to use the Wii U GamePad for in Blacklist. It really looks like Ubisoft has enhanced the gameplay experience by using the Wii U GamePad instead of giving the system a straight port.
Ubisoft is targeting a release date of August 20 in North America, August 22 in EMEA regions, and August 23 in the UK for Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
