Daily Scoop: March 16, 2016 – Humble CryEngine Bundle available right now
It’s a beautiful day to be a gamer – and a game designer! There are some really outstanding deals today!
Over at Humble, the new Humble CryEngine Bundle is a must-have for game developers. It’s “an exclusive library of CryEngine Assets,” including environment props, textures, audio, vehicles, and much, much more. Some levels also unlock games (including the awesome Nexuiz). $13 or more will unlock everything, and that’s a steal.
The Midweek Madness at Steam is The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut, which you can get for just $15.29. The Daily Deal is Wurm Unlimited, which you can get for $17.99. And I couldn’t help but notice, under “Popular New Releases,” a game called There’s Poop in My Soup. It’s on sale for just $0.89.
And don’t forget, Borderlands (Xbox 360) and Lords of the Fallen (Xbox One) are now available for free through the Games With Gold program.

It’s another wretchedly cold and rainy day here in Philadelphia, and I wish I was home snuggled under a blanket playing video games. But alas! Adulting is a necessary part of adulthood, and so I’ll have to wait until later to fall asleep while holding a controller.

It’s Friday, and school’s done! There’s just a little more left to do and then I’m officially free until next term starts in two weeks. We’re celebrating my birthday again tonight, so I’m super excited to go home, eat cake, and play games!

Soon you can cat on the PlayStation 4 with Catlateral Damage
I won’t mince words here: I freaking love Catlateral Damage. It’s a game where you play as a cat, knocking over everything in sight. Chris Chung refers to it as a “first-person destructive cat simulator” in his announcement on the PlayStation Blog. What is that announcement, you ask? That Catlateral Damage is coming to the PlayStation 4 on March 22!
There are two modes to the game… Objective Mode, where you have a set amount of time to cause as much destruction as possible; and Litterbox Mode, where you can cause as much destruction for however long you want – no time limit!
The real magic, of course, is the fact that Chung has become amazing at cat puns. “All levels are procedurally generated, so you can litter-ally be a cat fur-ever,” he says, adding, “Sorry, cat puns are like my thing now.”

Daily Scoop: March 10, 2016 – Play Awesomenauts free now!
I’m so close to the end of my class! The only thing that stands between me and freedom is a 15-page paper, which I’ve done a lot of work for already. I can do this! I can practically taste the chips and salsa I am going to be eating while sitting on the couch playing video games.

Yesterday was an awesome day! I got treated to some awesome meals, then played video games and watched television all night. It was wonderful!

Daily Scoop: March 8, 2016 – It’s my birthday!
Today is my birthday! It’s been a really exciting one, full of gifts, text messages, Facebook posts, cookies, and even a wonderful lunch with a special friend. Tonight, Anthony and I are going to dinner, then I hope to just play games for the rest of the evening. A perfect birthday indeed!
