Rez Infinite announced for PS4 with PlayStation VR support
Rez Infinite was announced for the PlayStation 4 (with PlayStation VR features) at this weekend’s PlayStation Experience. Tetsuya Mizuguchi took to the PlayStation Blog to go into more detail about the game, which was playable at the event this weekend. It was even playable inside their special “Synesthesia Suit,” which he compares to the PlayStation 2’s “Trance Vibrator.”
In his poignant post, Mizuguchi talks about how the original Rez, which came out in 2001, was way ahead of its time. “Well, to be honest, when the original Rez came out back in 2001, not everyone understood what we were trying to do with the game — but the few people that did ‘get it,’ really got it,” he wrote. “A dedicated and steadily growing number of fans called it visionary. Revolutionary. Ahead of its time.”
The technology of the time just wasn’t up to their vision, but now, 14 years later, it might just be good enough for their game to truly come to life. While there’s no release date set for the game, Mizuguchi said they’ll be able to announce more soon. “Our time is coming, my friends. I hope you’ll be there for it.”

Rock Band VR announced for Oculus Rift/PC
Harmonix and Oculus announced they’re making Rock Band VR, and they did it in the most adorable way possible with this video. Watch it to see DragonForce attempt to make rock stars out of the staff. They showed some footage of the game as well, where you play guitar from first-person view, and can look around to see the audience cheering for you and watch your virtual band rock out. Some folks will surely say that it looks very similar to Guitar Hero Live.
Rock Band VR is due out for the PC sometime in 2016 after the launch of the Oculus Rift.
Telltale will release a new Batman game in 2016
Telltale released a trailer at last night’s Game Awards announcing a new Batman game set for release in 2016. This comes just a few months after they announced they’ll be also releasing a Marvel game in 2017. I can’t believe they’re able to keep such a tight lid on these! Also, they are so busy.
There’s no formal date other than “2016,” and not much other information other than that it’ll be “A Telltale Game Series.” Here’s hoping Kevin Conroy will be voicing Batman!
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End gets a new trailer and a new character
The Game Awards gave us a slew of great new trailers last night, and among them was this gem. It seems Nathan Drake has something this unfriendly new character wants, and it has nothing to do with his charm. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled to launch on March 18, 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
