I didn’t get to play many video games last night, but that’s because we had a fun board game night! So I guess it’s an OK excuse. We played a bunch of games, including Codenames and Miskatonic School for Boys, and just generally had a great time. We’re having another board game night again tonight! And also, I’m off from work until January 9th, so I hope to get in a ton more gaming!

Speaking of gaming, let’s talk about today’s sales! There are some great deals happening at the Humble Store. Grid is free for a limited time, Dirt Rally is $23.99, Aseprite is $11.99, and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is $17.99, among others.

The Steam Winter Sale has begun! And, as you can imagine, there are tons of amazing deals. The Long Dark is $9.99, Master of Orion is $14.99, Darkest Dungeon is $12.49, Invisible, Inc. is $5.99, and many, many more! There are so many good sales that I just can’t look at this list anymore!

The holidays are nearly upon us, and we’re about to get super busy! Which is a bummer, because I was just getting into the swing of playing a lot of video games and doing whatever I wanted. Hopefully I’ll still have some time here and there, because Dishonored really got its hooks into me fast! I’m having such a great time with it.

So last night, in adventures in video gaming, I decided to start Dishonored, because my friend Ryan Littlefield was awesome enough to give me a code for the Definitive Edition for the PlayStation 4. I am really loving it so far! The art is amazing, and I’m enjoying the gameplay, even though I don’t have any powers yet. I’m excited!

Speaking of excited, there’s a great bundle over at Humble right now – the Humble Sierra Bundle Strikes Back! I did a ton of gaming this weekend! I finished up The Last Guardian, and finally played all of The Last of Us DLC, Left Behind. It was amazing. I think I’m going to start playing Dishonored next! This is such a wonderful time to be a gamer.

While surfing around Amazon today, I found way too many great games on sale. I won’t even mention them, but… all I’m saying is… this is a terrible time to be anywhere near Amazon if your willpower is as bad as mine is. I’m getting super close to the end of The Last Guardian! I know I keep talking about my backlog, but playing this has really just made me want to replay Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Hopefully I will not fall for that! Too many other games to play…

Recently, a friend of mine who doesn’t play games bought a PlayStation 4, because some of her friends (including me) were raving to her about video games. Today, I gave her my old 3DS, and I’m going to loan her some games. I’m so excited to welcome a friend into the world of modern gaming! And I can’t wait to hear what she thinks of Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright, because those are what I’m going to start her out with.

I’ve got a huge stack of games next to my television, and I’m not sure what to start next. I’m thinking about putting a poll up here just to see what people think! I would love to play Gods Eater 2: Rage Burst, but I’m also being tempted by Final Fantasy XV. Decisions, decisions… Either way, I have to get through The Last Guardian first!
