Halo 4: Castle Map Pack Review: Getcha Motor Runnin’
What better way to mark the last Halo 4 map pack than to go big? The Castle Map Pack does just that by providing big maps filled with a big selection of those oh so sweet vehicles that are not only deadly fun to use, but even more fun to blow the heck up. Whereas the previous DLC, Majestic Map Pack, featured small maps for intense close quarters fighting, Castle marks the return of large maps and epic vehicle battles. If you like your fights big and your vehicles plenty, then this map pack is for you. (more…)
Gears of War: Judgment Review: The Verdict is Fun
Gamers can be fickle and are often quick to judge a game by its cover, so let’s get this out of the way. Yes, Gears of War: Judgment is Microsoft and Epic’s way of squeezing in one more iteration of the phenomenally successful franchise before the next generation Xbox is released. With Episode 9, it is clear 343 Industries is gearing up for the sprint to the finish. (more…)
Halo 4: Spartan Ops Episode 8 Review: Two Steps Forward, One Step Back
The latest episode of Halo 4 Spartan Ops has a tough act to follow, since Episode 7 was a tight, thrilling package that finally delivered the promised blend of action, intensity and story integration. While Episode 8 isn’t bad, it unfortunately pales in comparison. (more…)
Halo 4: Spartan Ops Episode 7 Review: 7 Really is Number 1
As Halo fans know, the number seven plays an important part of the mythology, thanks to Bungie’s insane obsession with it. Well, it seems that little prime number is also important to 343 Industries, because the seventh episode of Halo 4 Spartan Ops is by far the best yet. (more…)
Halo 4: Spartan Ops Episode 6 Review: Crimson’s Back… With a Vengeance
Rejoice, Halo 4 Spartan Ops fans: 343 Industries has kicked off the second half of Season One with Episode 6, the first of five new weekly releases for the popular four-player co-operative mode (and yes, I tried to squeeze in as many numbers into that sentence as humanly possible). And it is immediately apparent that 343 has listened to fan’s criticisms, because it starts you in the middle of a frantic battle and never lets up. (more…)
