Warpback: What We Played in February 2013
Come one, come all, come in out of the cold and see what the Warp Zoned staff played during the month of February. New releases such as Dead Space 3, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and Fire Emblem: Awakening were popular around the office. As were backlog games such as last year’s Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs. With PAX East less than three weeks away, we’re sure to get our hands on plenty of upcoming games, but read on for more games that took up our time last month after the break. (more…)
The Games of February 2013
Most of the Warp Zoned staff has decided to hole up inside their houses this February with a copy of Dead Space 3. Forget asking if the groundhog will see his shadow this year, gamers the world over will be seeing shadows of Necromorphs everywhere they look. Warpback: What We Played in January 2013
The first month of 2013 is coming to a close, and we here at Warp Zoned have been busy little gamers! It’s been a mix between the old and the new as some of us wrapped up our backlog while others gleefully played on their Wii U GamePads (well, OK, just John). The Games of January 2013
January will likely be a month for many gamers to either catch up on backlogs or play the games they got as presents over the holidays. Here at Warp Zoned, it’s a mix of the two. There is one game that seems to appeal to most of us, though, and that’s the new Studio Ghibli/Level-5 game finally coming to our shores, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. The Golden Pixel Awards 2012: Gaming’s Best, Worst, and Everything Else
Welcome to Warp Zoned’s second annual Golden Pixel Awards. It was definitely a good year for gaming. With the fight over Mass Effect 3‘s ending, the resurrection of Sleeping Dogs, and the launch of the Wii U, we were treated to 12 months of interesting stories.
So sit back and relax as we reward the best (and worst) games of 2012 with a series of accolades based on their rather unique accomplishments.
The Apocalypse List
The bombs have fallen, the economy has collapsed, food is scarce, the zombie hordes are scratching at your door, and you’ve boarded yourself up in a bunker that’ll stand for a hundred years. What better way to spend your time in “The Vault” than by playing Warp Zoned’s favorite games from 2012? WZ Year in Review: The Most Popular Articles of 2012
No matter how you look at it, 2012 was an interesting year for gaming. The Wii U launched to stellar raves and can actually be found on the shelves of your local GameStop/Target/Walmart/etc. right now. The Penny Arcade crew put on two more great shows and have plans to add an Australian edition in 2013. And Mass Effect 3 generated strong emotions in everybody.
