Warp Zoned Podcast: Episode 18
Welcome to Episode 18 of the Warp Zoned podcast! In this exciting episode, Nicole Kline, Ryan Littlefield, and John Scalzo discuss what they’re playing, as well as what they’re reading (and no, Ryan hasn’t gotten any further in A Game of Thrones).
After that, they talked about how only 10% of games get finished these days, and then discussed their favorite Gamescom reveals, which descends into a discussion of Zelda. They wrap it up with a discussion about Diablo III coming to consoles, which has Nicole threatening Ryan through the Internet as he badmouths Diablo II. Somewhere in there, they even talk about Operation Rainfall, and how Ryan has too much time on his hands.

Warp Zoned Podcast: Episode 17
This week on the Warp Zoned Podcast, Nicole Kline, Ryan Littlefield, John Scalzo, and special guest Anthony Schneegas discuss a very important topic: Borderlands! What they love, what they hate, and most importantly, how to catch a riiiiiiiiiiiiiiide. Oh, and they also talked a bit about the new 3DS Ambassador program Nintendo unveiled, which has Ryan and Nicole pretty darn excited. They round it out with whether or not games are too expensive, what’s too much to pay for a game, and why some developers can be real hypocrites about it. If you’re playing Borderlands right now and want some company, feel free to add Nicole and Ryan on the PSN – her name is toitle and his is rightontargt4. And remember, we want your questions! July was a bit of a “catch-up” month as the staff pored over some of the Summer’s biggest games including Alice: Madness Returns, Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, InFamous 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. To continue with the “catch-up” theme, we even took a look at “Five Games That Deserve a Second Chance.” But we also took an early look at a trio of games that are sure to captivate a ton of people later this year in Catherine, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and the PS3-exclusive No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise.
Game publishers are also looking to the future and none more so than Nintendo. The Big N announced a price drop for the 3DS in July and many have pegged it as a desperation move for a handheld that has the stink of a flop on it. But we examined why the 3DS price drop may not be as crazy as it looks.
The Next Level: The Games of August 2011
Just 31 more days. That’s all that remains between the doldrums of August and the dam-breaking flood of new games coming this Fall. But that’s not to say that August doesn’t have a few important titles of its own. And the Warp Zoned staff is ready to dive into this month’s new releases and find those hidden gems (oh, and the juggernaut that is John Madden). (more…)
Warpback: What We Played in July 2011

But the Warp Zoned staff did indulge in a handful of new releases and a good, long look at gaming’s back catalog. Because when it’s too hot to even relax properly, staying inside and playing games is the best way to spend your day. And here’s what we played during the days of July. (more…)
