The Games of July 2016
After a surprisingly full June, publishers decided to cut the new release calendar for July all the way down to the bone… especially after Hello Games pushed the unfortunate delay of No Man’s Sky into August. But there are a number of smaller scale projects set to come out this month, and the Warp Zoned staff took a look at a few of them after the break. (more…)
Warpback: What We Played in June 2016
Even with the E3 Expo in the air, the Warp Zoned staff got the chance to play a lot of games during the month of June. And that includes Mighty No. 9, probably the most famous/infamous Kickstarter project ever. Did Keiji Inafune nail it? Or was Mighty No. 9 just a speed bump on the way to the rest of what we played last month.
You can find out after the break. (more…)
The Games of June 2016
We’re all over the map here at Warp Zoned when it comes to what we’re excited to play this coming month! God Eater: Resurrection, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, and Mighty No. 9 are all games we’re looking forward to – though we are pretty disappointed about No Man’s Sky. That’s OK, though, because we’re all really excited about E3!
Anyway, hit the jump to see what we’re looking forward to playing in June. (more…)
Warpback: What We Played in May 2016
May was full of fun for us here at Warp Zoned, and it seems like we played a little of everything, from Doom, to Overwatch, to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The Games of May 2016
There are some great games coming out this month, but it looks like there are only a few we agree on here at Warp Zoned! Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the no-brainer, but we’re pretty hype for Shadow Complex Remastered as well. Hit the jump to see what else we’re excited to play in May! (more…)
Warpback: What We Played in April 2016
April showers keep us indoor playing games! At least, that’s the excuse I’m giving for all the time we spent gaming last month. We hit up some old games, but also played lots of games that aren’t out yet at the PAX East Expo. Read on to find out what the Warp Zoned crew was busy with this month of April! (more…)
The PAXpocalypse List: The Best of PAX East 2016
Believe it or not, we’re not living in a post-apocalyptic hellscape (depending on your political affiliation, insert your own Trump/Hillary joke here). But you’d never know it if all you had to go by was the 2016 PAX East show floor, which was overrun by dozens of titles that took place after the collapse of society… and a lot of them were pretty good.
But what if some disaster did befall the world and force PAX East attendees to forever wander the halls of the Boston Convention and Exhibition, feasting on whatever mac and cheese bowls or turkey legs they may find? That’s where Warp Zoned’s PAXpocalypse List comes in, because these are the games we’d keep playing if we could never venture outside again… (more…)
The Games of April 2016
There are some excited games coming out in April, and Warp Zoned is ready to play them! It seems the biggest focus here is Dark Souls III, but Star Fox Zero has more than a few staffers ready to take flight in an Arwing. Read on to find out what our plans our for the month of April! (more…)
