I spent the weekend mostly sleeping, relaxing, and playing games! The game I put the most time into was probably Hyper Light Drifter, which I’ve been tearing through. It reminds me so much of Fez, with the strangeness of the lore, the thrill of adventure, and the sheer loneliness of some of the scenery. And, of course, the fact that Disasterpeace does the soundtrack adds to that as well. It’s been such a wonderful journey and I’m glad there are more secrets left to find.

Well, I cancelled all my plans for the weekend, and now I’m hopefully going to have time to get some work done – but also, and probably more importantly, I’m hoping I can take some time to relax. It’s been a whirlwind of action lately, and I need some down time to recouperate!

Getting back into the swing of things after PAX is really tough! Especially when my copy of Gods Eater 2: Rage Burst was in my mailbox when I returned. But I have tons of work to do and so little time to do it all. There’s so much to get done but all I want to do is play games!

I’ve been prepping all day for the course I start teaching tonight, entitled History of Animation and Game Arts! I’m very excited to get into the classroom. When I’m not prepping for that, I’ve been prepping for my trip to Seattle tomorrow for PAX Prime! I know, I know, it’s called PAX West now, but I can’t wrap my brain around that. This weekend was full of gaming! I played a lot of the incredible Titanfall 2 technical test, which was a blast. I also ran around my neighborhood collecting more pocket monsters in Pokemon Go, and played more than a little Dungeons and Dragons. It was super fun!
