I actually played some video games this weekend! I revisited Gravity Rush and Plants vs. Zombies on my Vita, and thought about going back to Final Fantasy XIII III: Lightning Returns, but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Maybe during the winter holiday break! I also ordered Persona 4, which I’m assuming is going to ruin my life.

OK, Internet. I promise that tonight I am going to play some games. I mean it! I am really going to play some games. I am going to play at least one video game that is not on my phone. That is the Friday vow I am making to myself! Here’s hoping my schedule will actually let me fulfill it.

It’s nearly the weekend, and I couldn’t be happier! My days and nights have been so busy that I really look forward to some time off. Not that my weekends are relaxing, but at least I can take my time. Who am I kidding? I’m always rushing around. But sometimes I get some down time at home, and that makes all the difference – especially if it means I can get in a game or two of We Are Doomed or TowerFall: Ascension before I run out the door.

There’s a brand new Humble Weekly Bundle, and it’s all about Games Workshop! Pay what you want for Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, Talisman: Digital Edition with Frostmarch Expansion, Chainsaw Warrior, and Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night. It’s been all work and no play for me lately, but that’s not for lack of trying! Though some new books came out that I’ve been waiting forever for, so I’ve been trying to reward myself with a chapter here and a chapter there. Maybe someday that will be video games again!

There are some new flash sales happening at the Humble Store. Spy Fox in “Dry Cereal, Spy Fox 2 “Some Assembly Required, and Spy Fox 3 “Operation Ozone” are all on sale for $2.44, and so are lots and lots of Freddi Fish games.

Over at Steam, they’ve still got Hacknet listed as the Midweek Madness dea for $7.49. And, of course, today’s Daily Deal is Back to the Future: The Game, which is on sale for $6.24.

I have a free evening tonight, so on top of laundry and cleaning, I think I might just try to play some games! I mean, I also have lots of other things to do, but sometimes you just need to get out a controller and solve some puzzles. You know what I mean?

This weekend was absolutely incredible! We went to Cipher Prime’s awesome art show on Friday night, then I had book club Saturday during the day, then we went to a Carnival-themed birthday party Saturday night, and on Sunday, we played board games all day long at a friend’s house. I mean really all day – more than 12 straight hours. It was glorious! I played Codenames, Troll, Hula Hippos, Body Boggle, Adventure Time Fluxx, and a few super-secret prototypes. It was a total blast!

But now it’s time to get back to reality. Which means it’s time for me to talk about deals! Over at Humble, there’s the brand new Humble Mobile Bundle: Kemco. It’s Friday, WOO! I’ll be spending the evening alongside other indie devs at the Cipher Prime Art Show in Olde City later today. If you’re local to Philadelphia, come check it out! It should be amazing.
