All Articles: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix
Square Enix @ PAX 2014: Lara Croft, Kingdom Hearts 2.5, Dragon Quest mobile games, more
Square Enix has got quite an impressive array of titles in development including Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. However, all of those games are currently on track for a release in 2015, so they won’t be appearing at next weekend’s PAX Prime convention.
Instead, the publisher will put out playable demos of overhead puzzle platformer Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Kingdom Hearts compilation Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix, and free-to-play team fighter Nosgoth. Square Enix will also show off some of their handheld offerings including the upcoming Hitman: Sniper, musical sequel Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call, and a pair of currently available Dragon Quest games for mobile devices (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King).
The 2014 PAX Prime convention will be held from August 29 to September 1. I hope you’ve already got your tickets, because it is sold out. More information on everything Square Enix plans to bring to the expo can be found after the break. (more…)

Compare the original and HD versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix in this trailer
Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix that compares and contrasts the standard definition graphics of the original games with the remastered HD visuals of the PS3 remake. The trailer is also interactive, so viewers can jump between the SD version, the HD version, and a “Comparison” mode that puts both side-by-side.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix will include remade versions of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, as well as well as story cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded when it’s released on December 2.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix will be released on December 2

The compilation, which will be available exclusively for the PS3, will include high definition remakes of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Square Enix has released a new trailer showcasing some of the high points from their upcoming compilation Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix.
Scheduled for release in 2014, exclusively for the PS3, the 2.5 ReMix will include the “Final Mix” editions of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. These special versions of the games were previously only available in Japan, so even if you’ve played through the entire Kingdom Hearts series, there’ll be something new to see in the 2.5 ReMix. Remastered high definition cinematics from Kingdom Hearts: Re:Coded will also be included in the compilation.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix officially coming to PS3 in 2014
Square Enix released Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix to a strong fan reception last month and the publisher strongly hinted at continuing the series in a second compilation ahead of the release of Kingdom Hearts III. So it shouldn’t be too surprising that the Japanese RPG juggernaut announced Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix this morning.
The second ReMix collection will bring together the “Final Mix” versions of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Both games have been fully remade with “remastered high definition” visuals and the never-before-seen-in-America “Final Mix” content. The compilation will also include a Theater Mode to view the theatrical cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, which was originally released for the DS in 2011.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix will be available exclusively for the PS3 sometime in 2014.
