Latest Project CARS trailer definitely has a lot of realistic-looking cars in it
Do you love beautifully rendered graphics? Then you should watch this trailer.
Do you love cars? If so, you should definitely watch this trailer.
Are you bored? What are you waiting for? Watch this trailer!
Slightly Mad Studios has released a new trailer for Project CARS and I suggest you watch it right now. Whether you’re a fan of racing games or not, if this trailer is any indication, the game looks like it’ll push your PC, PS4, or Xbox One to its limit. And if you’re a fan of virtual reality, Project CARS will also include support for the Oculus Rift (on the PC) and Project Morpheus (on the PS4).
Bandai Namco will publish Project CARS and they plan to make it available in stores for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 17. A Wii U version is also in the works and will be released sometime later this year.
Project CARS release date moves to March 17, 2015 to avoid holiday competition
In order to avoid the stiff competition from this Fall’s “household names,” Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco have announced that the release of Project CARS has been pushed back to March 17, 2015. This new release date will allow the developer to provide an extra layer of polish to the game.
“Our goal has always been to deliver a landmark title that encompasses the wishes and desires of racing fans from all around the world; something with features and content powered by the community that provide a truly unforgettable and pioneering experience” said Ian Bell, the Studio Head at Slightly Mad Studios. “Whilst a tough decision to make, the change in release date allows the game the greatest chance of success and visibility, and the opportunity to polish the game even further to the high standards that both ourselves and our community demand and expect. We’re eager for you all to see what we’ve been working on in just a few months.”
Project CARS’ new release date applies to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One editions of the game. It is also in development for the Wii U, and will be released for Nintendo’s console sometime in 2015.
Gone Home leads Nintendo’s upcoming slate of Wii U and 3DS eShop releases
Fullbright’s award-winning Gone Home will be coming home to the Wii U (via the Wii U eShop) this Fall. That’s rather fitting as a stash of Super NES games play a small part in the game’s plot. Gone Home is just one of more than three dozen games that Nintendo plans to add to the eShop through the end of the year and into early 2015.
Other highlights include the announcement that Slightly Mad’s Project CARS will be available exclusively through the Wii U eShop sometime in 2015 and that Renegade Kid has three 3DS games planned for this Fall: Treasurenauts, Xeodrifter, and Moon Chronicles: Episode 2.
Nintendo’s complete eShop release calendar for the next six months (or so) can be found after the break. (more…)
Wii U version of Project CARS skids into 2015
Lee Kirton, Bandai Namco UK’S Marketing and PR Director, has confirmed that the Wii U version of Slightly Mad’s Project CARS will miss its originally planned November release date. The racing simulation will now be available for Nintendo’s console sometime in 2015:
To confirm .@WMDCars #projectcars will release November on #ps4 #xboxone #pc and #WiiU is coming 2015
— Lee Kirton (@Leearigold) July 11, 2014
While this is disappointing news for Wii U owners, Project CARS on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One will be released this November as previously announced.
Project CARS will cross the finish line in November
Project CARS, Slightly Mad Studios’ ambitious racing sim, will finally be released this November for the PC (Windows/SteamOS), PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One. To celebrate, the developer has released a stunning new trailer, which they claim is composed of “all in-game footage.”
Slightly Mad was able to bypass the traditional publishing model to create their passion project thanks to their engagement with fans and the community. The development team sold special “Tool Packs” for the game and gave fans access to a private forum to discuss the direction development was taking.
When all is said and done, Project CARS might be one of the most realistic racing games ever. So I guess it’s a good thing Slightly Mad is planning to include Oculus Rift support as well.
