Resident Evil 4, Code: Veronica X HD coming in September
Comic-Con may be over, but one of the last big announcements to come out was the release schedule for the upcoming Resident Evil HD updates. Resident Evil 4 HD will be coming September 20 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X HD will arrive September 27 on Games on Demand for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation Store.
Unfortunately, one thing Capcom did NOT announce at Comic Con was an American localization of the 15th Anniversary Box, which includes both HD remakes as well as some PlayStation discs of the older games. If you’re a Resident Evil fan and you know Japanese, you seriously might want to consider ordering one of those.

Capcom prepares Resident Evil 15th Anniversary Box
Celebrating fifteen years of scaring the crap out of us, Capcom is readying the Resident Evil 15th Anniversary Box. This is a truly multi-generational collection, providing PlayStation One discs for Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Last Escape. Resident Evil Revival Selection for PlayStation 3, the HD remake of Code: Veronica and Resident Evil 4 rounds out the game offerings in this package. Resident Evil 5 is curiously missing from the box, but it does include a spacer for you to insert your disc of the game.
The set is also filled with other goodies, such as soundtracks for Code:Veronica and RE4, as well as pins and stickers for STARS and the Umbrella Corporation. The Anniversary Box is being shipped exclusively through e-Capcom, so you have to head over there to get yours.
Oh, and it’s only for Japan as of now.

Capcom celebrates 15 years of Resident Evil with five games
Capcom is resurrecting a ton of games for the 15th anniversary of the Resident Evil series. Not only that, but the publisher is injecting some new blood into the series with a pair of original games. And they want to get that blood pumping with the new trailer above that showcases all of these titles.
First up there’s Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, a multiplayer 3DS game based on the “Mercenaries” mode found in previous games in the series. And speaking of previous games in the series, the trailer also includes another look at the PSN/XBLA HD versions of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4.
Capcom plans to bring out the new stuff later in the year including the return of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine in Resident Evil: Revelations (also for the 3DS). And capping the celebration is a return to the RE2/RE3 era in the brand new Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (which is coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360).
That is a lot of Resident Evil and this is a pretty neat trailer.
Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica X getting HD remakes
One day after revealing that high definition remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X are coming to Japan, Capcom has announced that the classic RE adventures will be available in North America as well.
The HD remakes will be released this Fall as downloadable games on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Pricing details weren’t announced and it’s currently unknown if they’ll include any new features beyond the HD graphical overhaul. But if the standard definition-to-high definition comparison screenshots that Capcom has released are any indication, that overhaul will make the games look better than ever. Although I have to say, I don’t remember RE4 looking that ugly on my Wii (or any of the half dozen other platforms these games have appeared on).
