The Walking Dead Season 2: A House Divided will be released next week
Telltale Games has announced that the second episode of The Walking Dead Season 2, “A House Divided,” will be available to download for the PC and the PS3 (from the PlayStation Store) next Tuesday, March 4. The game’s Xbox Live Arcade and iOS App Store release date will be confirmed “at a later date.” But I’d bet good money that both versions will be available sometime around March 4.
For “A House Divided,” Telltale has tapped Michael Madsen to play the mysterious Carver. What does Carver want? You’ll have to play the game to find out. Like the previous episodic editions, The Walking Dead Season 2’s second episode has been priced at $4.99. All five episodes from Season 2 can also be pre-purchased through the $19.99 Season Pass. If you plan to follow the entire story of Clementine’s survival, it’s a good deal.
Vita owners will be happy to learn that Telltale also confirmed that The Walking Dead Season 2 will be released for Sony’s handheld. The first two episodes will be available to download in late March.
The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 2 will be available in March
For those anxiously awaiting the second of Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 2, you’re in luck. The developer has confirmed that the story will continue in a few weeks:

As you can see, there’s also a new screenshot to gawk at as well. The currently untitled The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 2 will be available in early March through a variety of PC digital download shops as well as the PlayStation Store (PS3), Xbox Live Arcade, and iOS App Store.
The Walking Dead Season 2: All That Remains Review: Keeping That Hair Short
Please Be Advised… This review contains spoilers from Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 1.
When it was released nearly eighteen months ago, the first season of The Walking Dead was met with near-unanimous acclaim. Critics praised the game’s gripping story, deep characters, and heart-wrenching choices. The first season won several Game of the Year awards – deservedly so – and changed the way we look at narrative-driven video games. It even made Warp Zoned’s Apocalypse List for 2012. Having recently finished the first season in a matter of a few days, I can certainly agree with these sentiments. Never before have I been this emotionally involved in a game, and when characters I had grown attached to died, it hit me hard. Lee’s death was just as traumatic to me as it was to Clem, but we both knew we had to move on.
And here we are again, continuing our ride through Hell on Earth, hoping that one day we can find someplace safe, someplace secure. Someplace like home. It’s that hope that keeps us moving, keeps us alive. But after playing the first ten minutes of All That Remains, that hope was completely shattered, and I thought to myself, this is going to be quite the bumpy ride. (more…)
XBL Store Today: Walking Dead: Season 2 Episode 1, Assassin’s Creed IV
The Dead walk on the Xbox Live Arcade once again! The first episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 2, “All That Remains,” is now available to download. Episode One (and all subsequent chapters) has been priced at $4.99, but you can grab the Season Pass for $14.99, which is a pretty hefty discount.
Also available to download today is Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the latest game to chronicle the fight between the Assassins and the Templars (now with pirates!).
More details on both games are available right here:
The Walking Dead: Season 2 – “All That Remains” ($4.99)
Left to fend for herself, Clementine has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad. Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ($59.99)
It is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established a lawless Republic. Among these outlaws is a fearsome young captain named Edward Kenway. His exploits earn the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but draw him into an ancient war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.
PS Store Today: Minecraft PS3, Walking Dead: Season 2 Episode 1, Flow PS4/Vita, a lot more
It’s a big day for the PlayStation Store as several well-received games have found homes on new platforms and one of this Winter’s biggest releases is now available.
For all you PS3 owners who are jealous of your Xbox 360 brethren and their embrace of Minecraft-mania, the wait is finally over, Mojang and 4J Studios have gotten together and added Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition to the PlayStation Store. Also available today is Telltale’s continuation of their heartwrenching Walking Dead adaptation. Like the first season, The Walking Dead: Season 2 will be released in five parts. The first episode, “All That Remains,” can be downloaded now.
What else is available today? Well…
- Flow, thatgamecompany’s first game, is now available on the Vita and PS4.
- Speaking of the PS4, The Pinball Arcade has also flippered its way onto Sony’s next-generation console.
- Terraria, everyone’s other favorite sandbox game, has been released for the Vita.
- Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien has also zoomed onto Sony’s handheld today.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Sony has added more than a dozen games to their online store today and you can read all about them after the break. As usual, a detailed listing of this week’s new game add-ons (including Borderlands 2: How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – Freedom Cry) can be found at the PlayStation Blog. Telltale has released the first full trailer for The Walking Dead: Season 2
No more teasers… Telltale Games is finally ready to unveil The Walking Dead: Season 2 in the first full trailer for the game, which you can view above. In this second set of episodic adventure games, players will control Clementine in a world full of zombies, but without Lee, her protector from the first game.
Telltale isn’t ready to announce a final release for “All That Remains,” the first episode of The Walking Dead: Season 2, but it’s probably to expect the Steam (PC/Mac), PS3, and Xbox 360 editions to launch on December 17/18. Telltale has confirmed that an iOS version will also be released in December and that a Vita version is in the works.
Each episode will be priced at $4.99, but players can pre-purchase the entire season through Steam (PC/Mac) for $22.49, a 10% savings.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 will launch on December 17
Telltale Games is bringing The Walking Dead: Season 2 to nearly every platform imaginable, which means a lot of people are struggling to keep the release date secret. But it looks like the people who run Steam and Microsoft’s Major Nelson aren’t very good secret keepers as both have leaked the release date for Episode 1.
The game’s Steam page has confirmed that The Walking Dead: Season 2 Episode 1 – All That Remains will be available for download on December 17. Thanks to the Major, we also know that the Xbox Live Arcade edition will follow on December 18. Sony has been tightlipped about The Walking Dead: Season 2, but it’s a safe bet that the game will be added to the PlayStation Store on December 17 as well (a Tuesday, which is the online storefront’s regular update day).
The only question that remains is the release date for the iOS and Vita versions. Oh, also, do you think is Telltale readying a release of The Walking Dead: Season 2 on the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U? That’s a good question to ask too.
Telltale reveals Walking Dead: Season 2 and promises Episode 1 will be out soon
Just in time for Halloween, Talltale Games has uploaded the first trailer for The Walking Dead: Season 2. The first episode of the season will debut for the PS3, Steam (PC/Mac), and Xbox 360 later this year with iOS and Vita editions also in the works. Four additional episodes will be released throughout 2014.
In Season 2, players will control Clementine as she makes her way through the zombified remains of the world:
The Walking Dead: Season 2 will continue the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad. Now assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.
Each episode of The Walking Dead: Season 2 will be priced at $4.99 apiece. PC players can pre-order all five episodes now for $22.49, a 10% discount.
